What are the EPA’s objectives?
Founded in 1999, the European Probiotic Association (EPA) is a non-profit independent organisation. It is the association of producers and distributors of probiotics that are authorised for animal nutrition in Europe.
The EPA’s objectives are to inform and educate the scientific communities, veterinarians, nutritionists and industries about the benefits of probiotics as natural, safe and environmentally sound solutions for animal nutrition, that are supported by adequate registration dossiers demonstrating the safety, quality and efficacy of probiotics.
EPA organizes seminars and various training initiatives for different audiences, to communicate the benefits of probiotics, as far as the animal, the environment and consumers are concerned.
